Williames fillers can fill virtually any tray type with any kind of media

Whether it is a nursery tray, a punnet or a pot being filled with soil, the seed, seedling or cutting that is going to grow in the container needs to be able to grow in a even, homogenous media. Fillers made by Williames Hi-Tech make it easy to get an even fill, even in trays with deep narrow cells.

Williames makes two different types of flat fillers, operating on different principles of operation. The FNC filler has a belt which delivers a continuous ribbon of soil, and is especially suited to the filling of wide trays, or trays with deep narrow cells.

The FLE2 filler uses cleats attached between 2 chains to deliver the soil. It offers excellent value for money, and when equipped with the optional soil density control rotor gives good control over the density of filling.

Williames FNC filler

The FNC filler is our premium filler and suited to the very high speed filling (up to 1500 trays an hour) of a wide range of flats, and is particularly suited to getting a good even fill in trays with deep narrow cells, across the full width of the tray.

Features are:

  • Integral soil return
  • 1.5 cubic metre capacity
  • Belt feed conveyor supported by rollers
  • 4 Metre chain and cleat conveyor driven by seeder
  • Accepts all known tray sizes

Williames FLE2 filler

The FLE2 filler can be set up for vacuum formed,
expanded polystyrene or hard plastic trays,
at up to 750 trays an hour depending on the tray type.

It works by dropping the soil in a diagonal across the tray, then smoothing the soil into each cell with a rotor, followed with a scraper and a self-cleaning brush to remove soil from the cell dividers and prevent roots growing across cell to cell.
